faezier:

platonic love is so underrated. we talk about romantic and sexual love and we talk about how much we want someone to help us fill those desires but we don’t talk so much about platonic love. how wonderful it is to find that group of people who you can love so profoundly and receive the same in return. how incredible it is that you are able to find your own chosen family, to have them be there for you and to be able to be there for them in not only the highest moments but the darkest ones too. to love someone romantically is amazing and exciting but i don’t think romantic intimacy is any higher or deeper a level of love than platonic love, nor the other way around. i fully believe both romantic and platonic love are at the same level; both are special and beautiful and enchanting in their own ways and i think that is just… lovely.
