A Highland2 Overview

starryystark:

Hey!!! If you’re a Mac user (i am so so sorry windows users), try out Highland2!!! I got really frustrated with Google Docs and decided “what the hell, I’ll check the app store” so I do and long behold Highland2 as one of the writing apps.

LOOK???? HOW NICE???? On the free version, there’s a dark mode and a light mode. If you upgrade you can make CUSTOM ONES LIKE NICE, but it is for fifty bucks. BUT FOR A PROFESSIONAL APP, FIFTY DOLLARS IS NOT JACK SHIT WHEN SOME APPS CAN BE A COUPLE HUNDRED OF DOLLARS

image

LOOK AT THIS CUTE GOAL RING IT REMINDS ME OF A FITBIT!!! AND IT WILL GIVE YOU A REPORT OF YOUR PAST GOAL-MEETINGS AND HOW MANY WORDS, WHEN, ETC!

image

Great summary section below it! The good basics rather than clicking around on Google Doc’s top bar.

image

YOU CAN TRANSFORM IT INTO A PDF WITH A COUPLE CLICKS! Yes, with a watermark, and a big fat one, but if you’re just a fanfiction writer like me, you won’t even use it so it doesn’t even bother you. BUT even professionals in the book and movie industry use this app! I will get more into the professional thing in a bit

RIGHT ON THE SIDE OF THE DOCUMENT YOU CAN HAVE A LITTLE SCRIBBLE NOTE PAD INSTEAD OF TYPING IT ON THE DOC OR IN A DIFFERENT APP! NICE

image

HERE IS THING ONE ABOUT THE WHOLE PROFESSIONAL THING! It covers a lot! Screenplay, stageplay, graphic hecking novel, manuscript, and an MLA report! If you’re just messing around or learning or not working on a big project, this is pretty nice variety!

THEMES!!!! CUSTOM  THEMES!!! i criticize that it’s only available with the PRO upgrade (uh, fifty hecking bucks), but the ability to do so is really cool. You can make your own color set ups! If you’re like me, this means no more messing around with google extensions just to make my google doc comfortable on my eyes.

BUILT IN SPRINTER!! That’s pretty nice, too!

I cannot rave enough about how much better this is than what i’ve used like google and word. Just try it, see if you like it.
