look, if yinsen didn’t call out tony’s woe-is-me bullshit and dared him to do better, we wouldn’t have iron man and thanos’ vast army would never have been defeated twice. so, technically, ho yinsen, extraordinary physicist with very steady hands who once performed an open-heart surgery inside a cave, saved the mcu. in this essay, i will — that’s it, that’s the essay. 

I love this essay and I will write a second essay which draws from yours: This is also a huge lesson to draw from because a lot of time when we are feeling down and helpless, we tend to focus only on our sadness––which is fair because we’re human and we need to live our feelings and not bottle them etc––but what Yinsen did here, is acknowledge that Tony is a victim, help him get out of it and heal… and he also encouraged him to face the situation at hand and pushed him to not only save himself, but save everyone for many years to come. 

Therefore, just as Yinsen saved the MCU (iloveyou-3000, 2019), the person pushing you to keep going instead of giving up (while acknowledging your pain and not forcing you to push it away) may be helping not only save you, but the world, because you’re phenomenal and you will change the world one day––even if you made many mistakes and make many more.
