Life is so much better when you realise literally no one cares about you

I mean when it comes to strangers, not people like family and friends. As someone with social anxiety I always used to get conscious around strangers because I kept thinking about what they’re thinking of me. I didn’t realise this mentality was slowly wrecking me from inside as my social anxiety grew and I strived to be perfect. Once I realised no one cares what I look like, what things I’m doing, I felt better because all the anxiety I used to feel washed away. Of course people do care about you, I only mean strangers in this concept. Like strangers you see when you go to the supermarket or whatever. I used to feel that they’re judging me but news flash they’re just getting on with their day. And who cares if someone is judging you? That’s on them, not on you unless you’re doing something awful. So yeah, nobody cares about you outside of family and friends and people you know and it’s honestly a freeing feeling once you realise that. At least in my personal experience it is.
